How to play

The same guide as under ? in the game.

Getting started

  1. Pick any Swedish club from the list or tap its square on the map. Every career starts in Division 2.
  2. The squares show the league: red Allsvenskan, white Superettan, purple Ettan, yellow Division 2. Norway, Finland, Denmark, Estonia and Latvia come later.
  3. Make your manager: pick a look and a name, and name your stadium.
  4. Choose your kits, then two sponsors (shirt and stadium) and the season ticket price.
  5. Pick three derby rivals - derbies draw 50% bigger crowds.
  6. Choose the difficulty. Easy (500 000), Medium (250 000) or Hard (50 000) only changes the start money.

Tip: Medium is a good first career. Easy lets you build a lot early, Hard makes every euro count.

Tip: The game is fully offline: once it is downloaded it needs no internet and uses no mobile data.

The club home

  1. The top shows your club, money, league position, form and team power.
  2. Play match takes you to the match preview. With no match this week, Continue moves one week on.
  3. The buttons lead to Squad, Table, Fixtures, Finances, Facilities, Manager, Transfers and History.
  4. News shows the latest stories. Tap News to see them all and open old newspapers.
  5. Save & Exit saves and takes you back to your save slots. The game also saves after every button press.

Tip: A red warning above the buttons means your grass needs to be re-laid.

Squad and tactics

  1. Tap Tactics at the top of the squad page: see your team on the pitch and set formation, mentality, playing style and pressing.
  2. Tap two players to swap them. The letter in front of the face is the position (G, D, M, F, A).
  3. A red position letter means a player is out of position in that slot.
  4. ST, PW and PA are stamina, power and passing; the rating is their average.
  5. Tap i to open a player: contract, injury, transfer list and release.

Tip: Auto pick puts your best fit players in the team.

Tip: Many matches build stamina but wear down power - rest a tired player and his power comes back.

Tip: Goals sharpen passing; every few goals give +1.

Matches

  1. The match preview shows your opponent, the weather, the win chance and how to beat them.
  2. You can change the ticket price for each home match before kick-off.
  3. During the match, Pause opens tactics and substitutions (up to 5).
  4. If a player is injured the game pauses: tap Squad to take him off.
  5. After the match you may get The Pixel Post and, every second match, a finance report.
  6. The Pixel Post writes about wins, big losses, derbies, injuries, record crowds, signings and sales, with the match-day weather. Every second paper has the league's top 5 scorers.
  7. At the end of the year comes a Christmas and New Year special: your season in numbers, the fans' verdict, the cups, the top scorers and your biggest buy and sale.

Tip: Bad weather keeps fans away from stands without a roof - a lower price helps.

Tip: Use the advice in the preview: it tries hundreds of tactic set-ups for you.

Leagues, cups and playoffs

  1. Four leagues of 16: Allsvenskan, Superettan, Ettan and Division 2.
  2. The top two go up. Places 3 to 6 play a playoff (3 v 4, 5 v 6, then the final) - the winner goes up too.
  3. The bottom three go down (not from Division 2).
  4. Three cups: the Crown Cup, the Challenge Cup (Ettan and Division 2) and the Super Svenskan Cup (Allsvenskan and Superettan).
  5. Every cup match pays money; the top three get prize money. See them under Table - Cup.
  6. A level cup or playoff match goes to a penalty shoot-out. Choose Simple (your best five shoot and you watch) or Interactive (pick the takers, choose where to shoot and where your keeper dives).

Tip: Cup money is a big help for a small club in the first seasons.

Finances

  1. Money comes from tickets, sponsors, shops, food, the bar, cups, prizes, sold players and the hotel.
  2. Money goes to wages, staff, running costs, grass, building, loans and new players.
  3. THIS SEASON shows every row and the NET result at the bottom.
  4. Borrow money from one of three banks if you need it - only one loan at a time.
  5. A finance report comes after every second match.

Tip: Keep a few months of wages in the bank before you build.

Tip: Sponsor deals end - pick new ones at the start of the season.

Facilities: stadium

  1. Build the four stands one level at a time, from 0 to 15 (100 000 seats).
  2. Add roofs so fans still come when it rains, and the LED screen.
  3. Roofs come in four steps per stand: a wooden roof (18 000) before level 5, a big wooden roof (100 000) before level 9, a modern roof (500 000) before level 13 and an arena roof (1 200 000) before the corners and the hotel.
  4. Build the merch shop, food outlet and bar for extra money every home match.
  5. With 100 000 seats you can fill the four corners (+15 000 each) and then build the glass hotel.
  6. Re-lay the grass under PITCH when it gets bad.

Tip: Only one project at a time. Each stand takes 1, 2, 3 ... up to 6 weeks per expansion; everything else 6 weeks. A stand being built is closed.

Tip: Every seat costs 0.25 euro a week to run - build seats when the ground is nearly full.

Facilities: training and youth

  1. Hire a youth coach (Hire staff) - without one nothing grows or gets built.
  2. Build the youth ground in 9 steps, from a changing room to a youth centre.
  3. Every step helps the youngsters and the first team, who train there too.
  4. Youngsters arrive every season and grow week by week.
  5. When the season ends you can sign up to 3 of them for the first team, for 3 years. They stay for at least 2 seasons: you cannot sell or release them before then.

Tip: The training bonuses come at the start of every season - build early.

Tip: A Top youth coach brings 10 youngsters, 4 of them a bit better than the rest.

Manager and staff

  1. The manager page has two tabs: Manager (fan support, team power, fan club and career) and Staff.
  2. The fan club grows towards a quarter of your home crowd - faster when the fans love you. Promotion brings 20% more members, a cup win 10%. Members buy your merch.
  3. Hire staff: assistant (fan support and advice on bids), coach (stamina), physio (power), scout (transfers), youth coach and janitor (running costs).
  4. Each comes in three levels: Basic, Good and Top.
  5. Fans like wins. Under 20% the board warns you; two seasons under 10% and you are sacked.

Tip: Staff give their bonus when hired and again every new season.

Tip: A janitor pays off once the stadium is big.

Transfers and contracts

  1. The window is open in weeks 1-5 and 24-30 - you get a popup when it opens and closes.
  2. With a scout, Market shows new players every week. Bid full price, -10% or -20%.
  3. If the club says yes, agree personal terms under My bids. The player arrives next week.
  4. Put your own players on the transfer list: you get a bid every week, from low to fair.
  5. Market compares every player with your best and your weakest in the same position.
  6. Offers say if the player is on your transfer list. With an assistant you also get advice: keep him or sell.
  7. Extend contracts on the player page, or release a player (wages left + a fee to his agent).

Tip: You need at least 15 players and at most 30.

Tip: Players whose contract ends leave on a free - extend the good ones in time.

Injuries, grass and weather

  1. Players can get injured in matches - more often against better teams.
  2. Injured players get a red cross and their own list; they come back after the weeks shown.
  3. Some injuries lower power, stamina or passing for a while; they come back +1 a week.
  4. The grass wears out over the season. At 10 under the best your players play worse at home.
  5. Rain and snow show on the pictures, and rain keeps fans away from open stands.

Tip: A good janitor makes the grass last longer.

Tip: The training ground's sports hall makes injuries heal a week faster.
